After the Storm: Storm Clouds Don't Change Blue Skies
The novel, After the Storm, follows two couples, Scott and Dana and Anthony and Ariel, who are familiar with the statement, “There is a time and season for everything.” Now in their thirties, however, they begin to wonder about their own season. They had faith that God could bring it to pass, but they also had a fear of repeating the mistakes of their friends. They knew that they were not exempt because they, too, had experienced disappointments, heartbreak, and a cancelled wedding. Despite what they had witnessed, however, the two couples decide to follow their hearts.
While Scott and Dana, the best of friends, are separated by miles, they realize that embedded in the friendship they had enjoyed for years was a yearning to be much more than friends. When they overcome their fear of love, they confess their love and get married.
Anthony and Ariel had known each other since elementary school. They always ‘knew’ they would grow up, get married and live happily ever after. Heartbreak and anger disrupt their destiny for a season. In the end, their repentance and forgiveness pave the way for revival of the relationship and the beginning of a loving and happy marriage.

A Shout from Praise Mountain
A Shout from Praise Mountain echoes the search deep inside of us for intimacy with our Creator. Our hearts sometimes struggle to find the fulfillment, satisfaction, and joy of being in the presence of God. We can pray to Him, talk about Him, and even do things for Him, but it is only through praise and worship that we are allowed to enter into His presence. A Shout from Praise Mountain takes you through the journey of finding the intimacy with God that every heart desires.

Life Lessons from Across the Road
This story shows the love and tenacity of one African-American family living in a small town in Alabama in the late 1950’s. Grandparents, George and Annie, are raising their 5 grandchildren. They prove the value of sound teaching and showing by loving example. Some of the lessons learned were taught during walks in the woods.

DR. BETTY PITTMAN
I liked "Meet Me at the Sink". It was serious, but also a little funny. The writer hated washing dishes, but God kept taking her there and preparing her to worship and serve Him.

I liked "After the Storm" because it showed how young women, and men too, can come into their dream relationship if they don't give up.
REOLA ROCHELLE
When I read "After the Storm", I was expecting the usual "fall in love, get married, have 3 kids, and live happily ever after." This story showed more of the ups and downs and fears in real relationships. I kept reading and reading. I smiled at some things and also shook my head at others. I really enjoyed the book.
HARRISON COX
BIO

Carolyn Sanders Cox was born into a large family made up of grandparents, uncles, cousins in the South. Her grandparents believed that there was always room and provision for family. Therefore, all of the cousins who lived there grew up like sisters and brothers, and the uncles who were there and nearby were like an additional set of parents.
Therefore, some of Carolyn’s early stories, songs, and poems were loosely based on family incidents, neighborhood events, and her grandfather’s yen for story-telling.
Early in life, Carolyn began to create stories and make up her own songs and poems. For her, It was effortless. It was as if somebody was handing her something and she merely recorded it. Although, she was actually quiet by nature, Carolyn became good at reading and writing poetry. She would read or recite famous poets like Sandburg, Poe, Dickenson, and Field at school assemblies and at church events. Then she began to write her own versions of what she heard and experienced.
As Carolyn grew older, she continued to write about her environment, various incidents, and imaginings. Once the writing bug bit her, therefore, nothing ever came about that could stop its effects upon her. Instead, life simply gave her more seed and plot to lift her quiet voice and sing.
